Adani Green Energy surpasses 10,000 MW of renewable energy, making it the first in India. Gautam Adani is proud to be the country’s first “das hazari.”

Adani Green Energy: Gautam Adani announced plans to construct the world’s largest renewable energy plant in Khavda, aiming for 45,000 MW by 2030.

With an operational portfolio of 10,934 megawatt (MW), energy company Adani Green Energy has surpassed 10,000 MW of renewable energy to become the first in the nation. The first “das hazari” in India’s renewable space, according to Gautam Adani, is AGEL.

The company reported that 2,140 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity, 1,401 MW of wind, and 7,393 MW of solar capacity make up its portfolio. By 2030, 45,000 GW of renewable energy is anticipated.

Over 5.8 million homes will be powered by Adani Green’s 10,934 MW operational portfolio, which will also prevent roughly 21 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, the company said in a filing on Wednesday.

Early in the trading day, the stock was moving slightly lower. At Rs 1,889.10, it was last observed 0.22 percent lower.

According to AGEL, the company has established a benchmark for driving clean energy transition and decarbonization on a gigascale through the use of innovative technology, execution skills, digitization, a strong supply chain network, long-term infrastructure financing, and sustainable practices.

“We are proud to be India’s first das hazari in the renewables space,” declared Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group.

Adani Green Energy went from being just an idea to investigate clean energy to achieving an incredible 10,000 MW in installed capacity in less than ten years. In that time, the company has not only imagined but also actualized a greener future. This accomplishment demonstrates the speed and scope with which the Adani Group hopes to speed up India’s shift to inexpensive, clean energy. In Khavda, we are constructing the largest renewable energy plant in the world, a 30,000 MW project unmatched on a global scale, as part of our drive to reach 45,000 MW by 2030. Gautam Adani stated, “AGEL is not just creating but also redefining global benchmarks.”

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN, AGEL declared that it is pursuing sustainable practices throughout its operations and is steadfastly focused on energizing a sustainable future. According to AGEL, its operational portfolio is certified as “zero waste-to-landfill,” “single-use plastic free,” and “water positive for plants with more than 200 MW capacity.”

With 10,000 MW, AGEL has expanded its renewable energy portfolio in India to its largest greenfield project. This project accounts for roughly 11% of the country’s installed utility-scale solar and wind capacity. It makes up more than 15% of all utility-scale solar installations in India. It also stated that over 3,200 new direct jobs had been created.

Furthermore, Adani Green Energy is creating the largest renewable energy project in the world, a 30,000 MW project, on a desolate area in Khavda, Kutch, Gujarat. With a total area of 538 square kilometers, the project is nearly as big as Mumbai and five times larger than Paris.

AGEL has operationalized 2,000 MW of solar capacity in just 12 months after starting work, which is more than 6% of the 30,000 MW planned capacity.
