Governor C V Ananda Bose faces a probe

West Bengal Governor: Governor C V Ananda Bose faces a probe by the West Bengal police regarding allegations of molestation

West Bengal Governor: An investigation into the accusation of molestation against Governor C V Ananda Bose has been opened by the West Bengal police.

On Thursday night, a contractual worker reported that Bose had molested her in a police complaint made at the Hare Street Police station.

The episode was described as “deeply distressing” by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who also asserted that the same governor who was very quick to get to Sandeshkhali is now being accused of groping a female employee at Raj Bhavan.

CM Banerjee further questioned the lack of response from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the matter.

“In Sandeshkhali, you (the PM) are saying a lot of stuff. When we discovered certain anomalies, we immediately took the appropriate action. However, you stayed at Raj Bhavan all night, even after the unfortunate woman’s accusations became public. At a second gathering in the Purba Bardhaman district at Purbasthali, she questioned, “Why are you silent?

Bose, however, stated that he anticipated more accusations of this kind to come to light but that it would not stop him from continuing his “determined efforts to expose corruption and curb violence” in the state.

“I appreciate all of the kind accusations and frequent innuendos directed against me by some political groups. I know that there is more to come, my friends. “But one thing is certain, all of the ridiculous dramas won’t stop me from exposing corruption and reducing violence,” Bose declared in a statement that was videotaped and made public by Raj Bhavan.

Bose ridiculed the accusations and declared that one day he would be held accountable for both the ‘1946 Calcutta Killings’ and the Great Bengal Famine of 1943. “That is the nature of the political forces working in the state,” he stated.

Notably, no criminal case may be brought against a governor while he is serving in office, according to Article 361 of the Indian Constitution.
