VP Dhankhar predicts that by 2030, India’s economy will rank third in the world.

VP Dhankhar: India will surpass Japan and Germany to become the third-largest economy in the world by 2030, according to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar’s statement on Friday.

Speaking at the “Country-led Initiative” closing ceremony held here under the auspices of the United Forum on Forests (UNFF), the vice president said that although India was once considered one of the “Fragile Five,” it has since grown to be the world’s fifth-largest economy.

He said that by 2022, India’s economy had surpassed both that of Britain and France to become the fifth largest in the world and that all signs point to it occupying the third position by the end of the decade.

International institutions like the International Monetary Fund have referred to India as a “shining destination” for investment and opportunities, according to Dhankhar.

According to him, digital transactions in India are four times higher than in the US, UK, France, and Germany. The vice president continued by saying that China and the US combined consume less data overall than India does per person when it comes to internet usage.

VP Dhankhar indicated with a finger to COVID-19 that global issues in the future will not just affect one nation. According to Vice President Dhankhar, climate change is a more significant issue than COVID-19 that cannot be resolved by one nation. He said that in order to find a solution, all the nations would need to work together and wage war.

India will use renewable energy sources to meet its electricity needs by 2030, according to the vice president. The speaker asserted that the National Green Hydrogen Mission is a massive government initiative that will address numerous concerns related to employment, entrepreneurship, and climate change mitigation.
