Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, declared on Friday that he will turn himself in to the police on Sunday at Tihar Jail. The leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, who is now free on temporary bail, stated that signs of a major illness have recently appeared on his body.
According to Arvind Kejriwal, he must have a number of medical tests performed in order to rule out the potential of any serious illnesses. He also made a plea to Delhi residents to look after his ill parents.
“I had been granted 21 days by the Supreme Court to run for office. I’m returning to Tihar Jail the day after next. I have no idea how long these people will keep me incarcerated this time. Nonetheless, I’m feeling optimistic. I am honored to be serving a jail sentence in order to prevent a dictatorship in this nation. They made numerous attempts to silence me and to break me, but they were unsuccessful. They subjected me to various forms of torture while I was incarcerated, and they cut off my medications… What these folks intended is unknown to me. “Why did they do this?” asked Arvind Kejriwal, according to ANI.
Since entering jail, Arvind Kejriwal claims to have lost about 10% of his body weight. He claimed that since being freed on temporary bond, he hasn’t put on any weight. He was concerned that weight loss might be a sign of something more serious.
I weighed 70 kg when I was sent to prison; now, I weigh 64 kg. I’m not gaining weight, even after being let out of jail. According to doctors, this could potentially be an indication of a major illness within the body. Numerous tests must be conducted,” Kejriwal stated.

At 3 pm, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party stated he will leave his home and head to the Tihar Jail.
Kejriwal promised that, even while incarcerated, he will contribute to the advancement of the nation’s capital.
“They might torture me harder this time, but I’m not going to give up. Inside or outside my place of residence. I refuse to allow Delhi’s efforts to cease. You will continue to receive free energy, free medical care, free treatment, 24-hour electricity, mohalla clinics, hospitals, free medications, and many other benefits. When I return, I will also begin monthly donations of ₹1000 to all mothers and sisters. I would like to ask you a question today regarding my family. My folks are quite elderly. My mom is really sick. Being in jail for her worries me a lot. After me, look after my folks and say a prayer for them,” he continued.
AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and others are accused of taking bribes in exchange for creating a liquor policy that favored the interests of a certain set of politicians and businesspeople.
March 21 saw the arrest of Kejriwal.
Against the objections of the Enforcement Directorate, the Supreme Court granted him a 21-day reprieve from jail earlier this month so he may campaign for his party in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
The Supreme Court declined to consider his plea earlier this week, stating that he was free to go to the trial court in order to request an extension of temporary bail.
In the excise policy issue, Arvind Kejriwal moved a Delhi court on Thursday, requesting regular bail.
