Chandrababu Naidu’s Bail: ACB Court Reserves Orders. On Monday, October 9, the court will issue its orders on the bail petition filed by TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu and the request for his custody made by the Andhra Pradesh Police CID in the Skill Development Corporation scam case.

For allegedly stealing money from the Skill Development Corporation, N Chandrababu Naidu was detained on September 9.

The TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu’s bail petition and the Andhra Pradesh Police CID’s request for his custody in the Skill Development Corporation corruption case were both scheduled for Monday, October 9, by a local court here on Friday.

On Monday, the ACB Court in Vijayawada is anticipated to issue its rulings.

Pramod Dubey, an attorney for the Supreme Court, argued on behalf of the former chief minister while Additional Advocate General P Sudhakar Reddy and Special Public Prosecutor Y N Vivekananda defended the CID.

As Naidu allegedly did not comply with the investigating authorities during the initial two-day custodial questioning on September 23 and 24, the CID is requesting an extra five days of police detention to further interview him in the Skill Development Corporation Scam case.

The court extended Naidu’s legal detention in the Skill Development Corporation Scam case on Thursday by a week, till October 19.

As Chandrababu Naidu’s second detention extension was set to expire on Thursday, the court decided to prolong his remand a third time.

Chandrababu Naidu was detained on September 9 for allegedly stealing money from the Skill Development Corporation, causing an estimated loss to the state exchequer of more than Rs 300 crore.

Also scheduled for a hearing on Monday in the ACB Court are two more CID prisoner on transit (PT) warrant petitions related to the AP FiberNet and Amaravati Inner Ring Road fraud cases.
