Gautam Gambhir quits BJP before the Lok Sabha polls candidate list is release

Gautam Gambhir quits BJP: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah were thanked by Gautam Gambhir for “allowing him to serve people” when he announced on Saturday that he was giving up politics to concentrate on his cricket commitments.

Gautam Gambhir quits BJP before the Lok Sabha polls candidate list is release, East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir represents the BJP. In 2019, he upset AAP’s Atishi and Congress Party’s Arvind Singh Lovely.

Sharing the details on X (formerly Twitter), Gambhir wrote, “I would like to concentrate on my forthcoming cricket commitments, so I have asked Hon’ble Party President @JPNadda ji to release me from my political duties.” For allowing me to help the people, I sincerely thank Hon. HM@AmitShahji and Hon. PM@narendramodiji. “Jai Hind!”

Many were shocked to hear the news, which came just before the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.

Who will most likely take Gautam Gambhir’s place?

The Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was held on Thursday at the party headquarters in Delhi. The discussion at the meeting was about Lok Sabha election seats, which are distributed among about 17 states. Decisions about more than 155 seats were made during the meeting; the specifics should be made public in the coming days.

The party is probably going to release its list of candidates soon. The replacement of Gautam Gambhir is expected to be either Delhi BJP President Virender Sachdeva or Party General Secretary Harsh Malhotra.

The BJP and the candidates of India’s alliance partners, the AAP and Congress, will square off in the Lok Sabha elections, which are scheduled for April or May, on the seven seats in Delhi.

Sahiram Pehelwan of South Delhi, Somnath Bharti of New Delhi, Kuldeep Kumar of East Delhi, and Mahabal Mishra of West Delhi are the candidates fielded by the AAP. As per the seat-sharing arrangement with AAP, the Congress has not yet declared its candidates for the Chandni Chowk, North East, and North West constituencies.
