Giriraj Singh: Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party, and Congressman Rahul Gandhi were the targets of a jab from Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Giriraj Singh, who said that Gandhi would probably take a holiday overseas. As a bastion of support for Prime Minister Modi and the BJP, Varanasi is the center of attention for those looking ahead to the Lok Sabha elections. In the seat, PM Modi won substantial victories in the general elections of 2014 and 2019. Ajay Rai, who stands for the united Opposition INDIA bloc against PM Modi, has been nominated by the Congress.

The leader of the Uttar Pradesh Congress, Ajay Rai, competed against Prime Minister Modi in the Varanasi Lok Sabha elections in 2014 and 2019, coming in third both times. This is Rai’s third attempt to challenge Modi in a Lok Sabha election.

After garnering more than 6,74,664 votes and a dominant vote share of 63.6 percent in the 2019 elections, PM Modi won the seat with an overwhelming majority. There was a significant confrontation in the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency in 2014 between Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal and Narendra Modi.
