ITC Sunfeast Incorporates New Products to Fill Nutritional Deficits

Representatives from hen and cow participated in an engaging conversation at a recent special event held by ITC Sunfeast, which is renowned for its creative customer experiences. They tackled the difficulties of attracting children’s attention to milk and eggs while highlighting their nutritious value in a lighthearted manner.

Subsequently, a panel discussion was held featuring prominent individuals such as Madan Mohan Maiti, the Chairman of NECC West Bengal; Dr. Dulal Chandra Sen, the Vice-Chairman of IDA East Zone; Dr. Ananya Bhowmik, a Clinical Nutritionist and Lifestyle Consultant; celebrity mother Koneenica Banerjee; and Archana Sinha, the Co-Founder and CEO of Nourishing Schools. Because eggs and milk are high in protein and contain other important minerals like iron, vitamin D, E, and A, the panel emphasized the necessity of these foods during a child’s developmental years. They talked about fun ways to encourage kids to drink more milk and eggs.

Aware of the deficiency in kid-friendly, easily accessible nutrition options in the retail sector, ITC Sunfeast launched the Sunfeast Super Egg & Milk Biscuit, which boasts the ‘Goodness of Protein’. The biscuit’s wonderful, crisp texture and nutritional value are intended for kids. The slogan, “Super Combo, Super Tasty,” highlights the company’s dedication to providing wholesome goods.

According to ITC Foods’ Ali Harris Shere, COO of the Biscuits and Cakes Cluster, “Our consumer research highlighted that mothers consider milk and eggs essential for children, but these ingredients are not convenient for consumption outside of the home.” Mothers desire to give these nutrients, but current products don’t combine the two. As a result, we created a biscuit that is suitable for regular eating and contains both necessary food ingredients. We are the first company in India to launch a biscuit containing milk and egg at a range of affordable prices.”

ITC seeks to provide consumers with food items with added value while taking their evolving tastes and lifestyles into account. ITC uses its strengths in science-based, consumer-led product development and agriculture under the context of its nutrition strategy, “Help India Eat Better,” to satisfy the needs of its customers and assist them in making decisions.
