Pepico India names Jagrut Kotecha as its new Chief Executive.

PepsiCo India said on Friday that Jagrut Kotecha will succeed Ahmed El Sheikh, who served in that capacity for seven years, as CEO.

In the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (AMESA), Kotecha serves as the company’s chief marketing officer. In March 2024, he is going to become the CEO. The Middle East business segment will have Sheikh as its CEO.

“The recent shift in leadership, emblematic of PepsiCo’s proactive and innovative worldwide strategy, has been carefully orchestrated. The announcement was conveyed to the staff at the India office yesterday as part of a broader set of leadership adjustments spanning the AMESA region, as outlined in a company press release.”

As someone who has worked for PepsiCo for the past thirty years, I have personally seen PepsiCo India’s steadfast dedication to quality and innovation. In order to ensure ongoing success and expansion in the Indian market, I am thrilled to lead our mission,” Kotecha remarked.

India continues to be an important market for PepsiCo and is integral to our worldwide strategy. In the past six years, Ahmed has played a pivotal role in revolutionizing our enterprise, propelling creativity, and leading the group over difficult terrain. I’m excited to collaborate with him in his new role since his leadership brought innovative products and other community-focused initiatives to life. Eugene Willemsen, CEO of AMESA, PepsiCo, stated, “I am really thrilled to have Jagrut join the India executive team and I know we will keep reaching new heights of success under his direction.

“It has been an amazing journey full of vibrant experiences and unique insights,” El Sheikh stated after leading the team in India. With Jagrut at the helm, I have no doubt that the Indian squad, with their unmatched perseverance and inventiveness, would keep winning.

In order to further solidify its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, PepsiCo India is still committed to growing its business in India. PepsiCo India’s commitment to developing leadership talent and adjusting to changing market conditions is reaffirmed by this move, which also marks the start of a new chapter for the company, according to the announcement.
