The Body Shop global head office in the UK and its UK market have gone into administration; on Monday, May 20, 2024, a selling process for the company was started. This action creates the potential for new owners to assume leadership of the brand, which was established almost fifty years ago. The UK company is still operating and accepting online and in-store orders in spite of these changes.
Unaffected is The Body Shop India, a division of Quest Retail Pvt Ltd, a well-known omni-channel retailer specializing in beauty and brand development. The Indian franchise stabilizes the brand’s main business in the UK by utilising decades of retail knowledge and is a key component of the brand’s worldwide strategy.

The Body Shop’s received 100% vegan accreditation earlier this year, and The Vegan Society approved every one of their formulas. The Body Shop India, the country’s biggest international beauty retailer, serves more than 1500 cities through its extensive online presence. It recently opened 20 new Activist Workshop locations and saw a 100% increase in rapid commerce. The Body Shop India is in a good position to grow going forward.
