Union Minister response to the FIR on Vijayan and Rahul Gandhi, calling them the “biggest appeasers” in politics

Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar came forward to criticize state chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and invoke Rahul Gandhi’s name, accusing them of being two of the “biggest appeasers” in Indian politics, shortly after Kerala Police filed a case for allegedly inciting religious hatred between various groups. The latest event is an extension of the verbal sparring between the Kerala chief minister and the Union minister that began following the three fatal explosions at a community center in Kochi.

Chandrasekhar wrote on X (previously Twitter): “Two of biggest appeasers in Indian politics who shamelessly appease poisonous radical violent organizations like SDPI, PFI, and Hamas.” He was alluding to pro-Palestinian rallies in Delhi and Kerala that the chief minister of Kerala and Congressman Shashi Tharoor attended. “…trying to intimidate me by bringing up a case about their support of Hamas,” he continued.

According to PTI, the Kerala Police Cyber Cell has independently filed a formal complaint (FIR) in relation to the minister’s recent social media remarks regarding the Kochi blast and a Hamas leader’s virtual speech at an event hosted by an Islamist organization in the Malappuram district.

Regarding the Kerala explosions case, the Union minister and the chief minister of Kerala poked fun at one another. Criticizing the event, Chandrasekhar charged that Chief Minister Vijayan was accepting of extremist groups. Following the explosion, the Chief Minister retaliated against the Central Minister by accusing him of engaging in “appeasement politics” and threatening to take legal action for remarks he had made that were offensive to the community.

“Poisonous people will never stop spitting poison,” Vijayan declared. “I’m protesting against Israel and participating in appeasement politics,” stated a Union minister.

Destroys Kochi

Sunday morning during a Jehovah’s Witness meeting at a private convention center in Kalamassery, there was a bomb blast that left three people dead and over fifty injured.

Approximately 2,500 people were in the middle of a prayer when the explosion rocked the convention center around 9:30 am. Investigators stated that their preliminary examinations of the blast site indicate that the congregation was the intended target of a timer-based low-intensity IED.

Nothing to increase the blast’s impact caused by shrapnel was present. To make the fire worse, the IED was placed close to an oil container, according to an official, who also stated that they are “not ruling out a terror angle” in the incident.

Dominic Martin, the man who detonated the device, turned himself in to the authorities a few hours after the assault. He said that although he belonged to the religious organization, some of its doctrines had offended him. Kerala Police had taken him into custody on Monday morning.
