Wipro partners with the Centre for Brain Research for pioneering AI health behavior advancements

On Tuesday, Wipro Limited announced that it would be working with the independent, non-profit Centre for Brain Research (CBR), which is housed at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The alliance, it continued, will concentrate on utilizing big data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI) to create new technologies that will offer precise assistance for the management and prevention of chronic health conditions.

The R&D team at Wipro, which is a part of Lab45, will create a personal care engine, or artificial intelligence (AI), that considers a person’s past medical history, ideal health state, and other behavioral responses in order to encourage healthy aging, constructive lifestyle modifications, and psycho-social wellbeing in order to gradually improve a person’s health.

“The company has announced that the personal care engine will utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to customize its user interactions and optimize for long-term health and wellness, with a focus on mitigating and controlling the risk of cardiovascular disease and associated neurodegenerative disorders.”

Wipro and CBR at IISc will work together to evaluate the engine through a digital app-based trial that will yield data on the engine’s efficacy in situations that are very pertinent to long-term health outcomes.

Wipro is committed to redefining the landscape of healthcare via technological innovation. Numerous benefits and uses for health management are made possible by our personal care engine. It may even improve cognitive and psychosocial functioning and help to minimize illnesses associated to lifestyle choices.

Dr. Ajay Chander, the Research and Development Head at Wipro Limited, stated that their partnership with CBR aims to develop innovative solutions blending computing and cognitive sciences. These solutions will offer personalized care support on a large scale, particularly targeting chronic health issues worldwide, with a special emphasis on cardiovascular conditions. This focus stems from the significant link between cardiovascular health and long-term cognitive problems, offering potential benefits for overall health and well-being at reduced expenses.

The Centre for Brain Research’s Director, Professor KVS Hari, emphasized the significance of this collaboration further by saying, “We can leverage Wipro’s large-scale digital applications to enhance our scientific expertise.” This collaboration will quicken the transition from basic research to practical applications in cognitive and general health.
