Yes Bank shares fell 4% following a 0.86% equity transaction

On February 19, Yes Bank shares fell 4.58 percent after 0.86 percent of the bank’s equity was traded during the day. Yes Bank shares fell 4% following a 0.86% equity transaction. On February 19, about 24.78 crore shares, valued at Rs 674 crore, were traded on the exchanges. Yes Bank’s shares on the National Stock Exchange ended the day 4.58 percent lower at Rs 27.1.

In an open market deal, global investment firm Carlyle Group sold a 1.3 percent share in Yes Bank for Rs 1,057 crore on February 15. The US-based Group offloaded 39 crore Yes Bank stocks on the Bombay Stock Exchange through its affiliate CA Basque Investments.

The same day, however, saw the bulk purchase of 30 crore Yes Bank shares by Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore PTE for Rs 27.1 a share. Rs 830 crore, or 1.06 percent of Yes Bank’s total equity, was exchanged in the deal transaction.

Carlyle Group’s interest in Yes Bank dropped from 6.43 percent to 5.08 percent following this.

In the past six months, Yes Bank shares have increased by 59%, and in the past year, they have gained by 63%.
