YS Sharmila of YSR Telangana Party may join Congress on Jan 4.

Chief of the YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP), YS Sharmila, is prepared to combine with the Congress party in Telangana today.

YS Sharmila stated yesterday during her visit to Idupulapaya that she is prepared to join the Congress party and that she will shortly be meeting with the leaders of the BJP in New Delhi. Days after the Congress party’s victory in the Telangana assembly elections, the YSRTP chairman made a noteworthy step.

YS Sharmila consistently voted for the Congress party during the most recent Telangana assembly elections. She made it clear that she didn’t challenge the polls since doing so would have caused votes to be spilled.

“I am offering my backing to the Congress party as they have a strong likelihood of winning in the Telangana Assembly elections. KCR has failed to deliver on any of the commitments he made to the people during his nine-year tenure, and that’s the sole reason I oppose his ascendancy to power. As the daughter of YSR, I am taking a gamble by attracting support from the Congress vote bank to prevent KCR from assuming control,” she expressed in a statement preceding the Telangana assembly elections.

Emphasizing the importance of her endorsement, she pointed out that the Congress party’s success in securing 31 seats in Telangana resulted primarily from their decision not to participate in the electoral contest.

“I will impact the Congress vote bank in over 55 constituencies, and in more than 20 constituencies, my candidacy will contribute to the Congress losing,” she asserted.

Before the Lok Sabha elections, YS Sharmila might be assigned to a significant position inside the Congress. Additionally, Sharmila is anticipated to be involved in the Andhra Pradesh elections, which are scheduled for the following year.

In Telangana, where they won 64 out of 119 seats, Congress achieved an absolute majority for the first time. After governing the youngest state in India for ten years, Bharat Rashtra Samithi secured 38 seats.
